About Us
At Everflow, we’re on a mission to reshape the utility industry.
We’re an award-winning, fast-growing business delivering smarter, greener water, waste and connectivity solutions to businesses across the UK, and we’re proud of the impact we make every day.
Our quest is simple but powerful: bringing services together to make lives simple. By saving our customers time, money, and energy, we give them the headspace to focus on what really matters - growing their businesses and making an impact.
And while free coffee and ping pong are nice (very nice, actually), they’re not the reason people stay. Our culture is. We value authenticity over ego, curiosity over comfort, and progress over perfection. We trust our people, encourage bold ideas, and believe success should never come at the cost of wellbeing or belonging.
The Role
As our Finance Analyst (FP&A), you’ll be the person who turns numbers into the story behind the business. Sitting at the heart of our FP&A team and reporting to the FP&A Manager, you’ll own cash and billing performance reporting, support the budgeting and reforecasting cycle, and help shape the analysis that lands in front of our board and investors.
You’ll work hand-in-hand with finance, billing, operations and commercial teams - going beyond the surface of the numbers to understand what’s really driving performance, and helping the business make sharper, faster, better-informed decisions.
What You’ll Do
You’ll be busy, trusted, and right in the middle of the action. You’ll:
-
Own the weekly and monthly cash and billing performance reporting - tracking collections, billing volumes, payment timings, and wholesale settlement against forecast
-
Build and maintain dashboards and short-term cash flow models that give finance and operations real-time visibility of how the business is performing
-
Support the FP&A Manager through the annual budget, monthly reforecasts, and variance analysis (with the kind of commentary that actually explains the why, not just the what)
-
Help pull together board packs and investor updates -KPI dashboards, narrative commentary, and the underlying data thathas totie back every time
-
Run scenario and sensitivity analysis on customer growth, churn, revenue, and cost inflation to help shape commercial decisions
-
Be the curious one in the room - spotting trends, asking better questions, and finding smarter ways to report and analyse
What We’re Looking For
We’re less about ticking boxes and more about finding the right person. You’ll probably:
-
Have solid experience in a finance analysis or FP&A role, ideally in utilities, energy, telecoms, or another subscription-based business
-
Know your way around billing and collections, and understand the financial dynamics of wholesale cost pass-through (or be quick to pick it up)
-
Be a confident Excel modeller -revenue, working capital, cash flow - and comfortable pulling data from ERPs, billing platforms, and BI tools like Power BI or Causal
-
Be analytically rigorous and commercially curious - happy to dig under the headline numbers and translate what you find into clear, structured insight
-
Be well-organised, deadline-focused, and a natural collaborator - PE-backed or investor-reporting experience is a bonus, but not essential (qualified, part-qualified or qualified-by-experience all welcome)
What We Offer
We take rewarding our people seriously (and not just with biscuits). You’ll get a competitive salary with annual reviews, a generous pension of up to 8% employer contribution, and life insurance worth up to three times your salary.
You’ll enjoy hybrid working (up to three days from home from our Peterlee HQ), the option to buy or sell up to five days of annual leave, an extra celebration holiday, and enhanced parental and sickness benefits.
There’s also free breakfast, free parking, an on-site gym, access to an EV company car scheme, and a cycle-to-work scheme. For your wellbeing, we offer 24/7 counselling, virtual GP access, and a healthcare cash plan covering dental, physio, and optical care - because looking after people shouldn’t stop at work.
