We are seeking a reliable mechanical technician the successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of service, ensuring that we meet stringent quality and safety requirements. Reporting to the IRIS Mechanical supervisor duties include but not limited to; Planning, completing and supervising the delivery of planned and responsive Mechanical and Compliance maintenance, including Pressure Systems (Steam), Bottled and Piped Gas Systems, Asbestos Management, Industrial & Automatic Doors, Domestic Water Systems, HVAC Systems, BMS Management, LEV Testing, Passenger & Goods Lifts, LOLER Tasks and other related maintenance.

Reporting to the IRIS Mechanical supervisor, responsibilities encompass, but are not limited to, planning, executing, and overseeing the delivery of both scheduled and responsive mechanical and compliance maintenance. This includes Pressure Systems (Steam), Bottled and Piped Gas Systems, Asbestos Management, Industrial & Automatic Doors, Domestic Water Systems, HVAC Systems, BMS Management, LEV Testing, Passenger & Goods Lifts, LOLER Tasks, and other associated maintenance activities.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to –
- Respond swiftly to plant and equipment failures to reduce downtime.
- Execute scheduled preventative maintenance according to daily, weekly, and annual plans.
- Foster and uphold a robust safety culture; guarantee that all tasks are performed safely.
- Pressure Systems (Steam), Bottled and Piped Gas Systems.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with sub-contractors.
- Issue and accept site Permits to Work, while overseeing operations to ensure compliance with Site SHE systems.
Experience and Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in a comparable position, with assurance in executing general mechanical and maintenance duties
- Proficient practical abilities in various repair and maintenance activities Effective communication skills Proficient in IT
- Capable of working effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
- A readiness to work flexibly, including outside of standard hours when necessary to ensure service continuity.

Working 37.5 hours per week with a willingness to work flexibly, including outside normal hours when needed to maintain service continuity
Pay: £35,000.00 per year
