Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Scaffold Builder to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling, installing, and dismantling scaffolding structures on various sites. This role requires a strong understanding of construction practices, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. Candidates with experience in carpentry, roofing, or other construction trades are highly encouraged to apply. Duties
- Erect, modify, and dismantle scaffolding structures in accordance with safety regulations and project specifications.
- Inspect scaffolding components regularly to ensure stability and safety during use.
- Measure and cut materials using hand tools and power tools to fit specific site requirements.
- Assist with the fabrication of scaffolding components on-site when necessary.
- Collaborate with other trades such as roofing, plumbing, electrical, or masonry teams to facilitate seamless project progression.
- Follow all health and safety protocols to minimise risks associated with working at height.
- Maintain organised work areas and ensure all equipment is stored securely after use.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding progress and any safety concerns.
Experience
- Proven experience in scaffolding assembly or related construction trades such as carpentry, roofing, or masonry is preferred.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques used in scaffold construction.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to working at height on construction sites.
- Experience working with welding or electrical systems is advantageous but not essential.
- Ability to read technical drawings and interpret specifications accurately.
- Prior exposure to working with plumbing or construction painting can be beneficial but is not mandatory. Candidates should demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, reliability, and teamwork while possessing the technical skills necessary for scaffold building tasks.
