Finance Assistant

Raising Explorers Afterschool Club is looking for a reliable, organised and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our team.

The successful candidate will support the day-to-day financial administration of the organisation, ensuring that financial records are accurate, up to date and maintained confidentially.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in finance. Recent graduates with a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or a related subject are welcome to apply, as well as candidates with previous experience in finance, accounts or administration.

Job Details

Job Title: Finance Assistant Employer: Raising Explorers Afterschool Club Location: BD8, Manningham Job Type: Full Time Hours: 35–40 hours per week Salary: £25,500–£27,500 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications Start Date: Immediate start

Key Responsibilities

Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation
Processing invoices, payments and receipts
Monitoring income and expenditure
Assisting with accounts payable and receivable
Preparing and maintaining spreadsheets and financial reports
Reconciling financial records and identifying discrepancies
Assisting with budgeting and general financial administration
Maintaining organised and confidential financial files
Liaising with staff, parents, suppliers and other relevant parties regarding financial matters
Supporting the management team with other finance and administrative duties as required

Requirements

We welcome applications from both recent graduates and candidates with relevant work experience.

The ideal candidate will have:

A degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or a related subject is desirable
Previous experience in a finance, accounts or administrative role is desirable, but not essential
A good understanding of basic financial processes and record keeping
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Good organisational and time-management skills
The ability to handle confidential information professionally
Good written and verbal communication skills
Competence using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
A professional, reliable and responsible approach to work
A willingness to learn and develop within the role

Experience working within an education, childcare or community organisation would be advantageous but is not essential.

We are particularly interested in hearing from motivated graduates who are looking to begin or develop their career in finance, as well as applicants who already have relevant finance or administrative experience.
