We are seeking a motivated and friendly Retail Assistant to join our team. Duties
- Assisting customers with their enquiries in person and via other communication channels
- Organising and maintaining the retail space, including merchandising and stock displays
- Providing information about gardening products, horticulture tips, and plant care in multiple languages such as English and Spanish
- Supporting the selection of plants, gardening tools, and related items to optimise sales
- Managing stock levels, replenishing shelves, and organising storage areas efficiently
- Supporting the organisation of promotional events or seasonal displays
- Ensuring cleanliness and organisation within the store to uphold health and safety standards
- Offering advice on gardening techniques and plant care to enhance customer satisfaction
Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in Spanish is advantageous
- Organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Knowledge of gardening, horticulture, or related fields is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for those eager to learn
- Multilingual abilities to assist a diverse customer base effectively
- Experience in merchandising or retail environments is beneficial but not mandatory
- Friendly attitude with a genuine interest in helping customers and sharing horticultural knowledge
