We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced Construction Trainer – Multi-Trade (FTC) to deliver high-quality training programmes up to Level 3 across:
- Brickwork
- Painting & Decorating
- Tiling
- Plastering
This role plays a vital part in developing learners’ technical skills, employability, and industry readiness, working closely with employers and internal teams to ensure provision remains responsive, relevant, and of the highest quality.
As a Construction Trainer – Multi-Trade (FTC), you will:
- Plan, design, deliver, and evaluate engaging multi-trade training programmes tailored to employer and learner needs
- Deliver training and assessment in college and on-site where appropriate
- Support apprenticeship planning and learner progression through effective assessment, feedback, and review
- Embed essential skills, including literacy, numeracy, digital skills, and employability, within construction programmes
- Work collaboratively with employers to identify training needs and support learner success
- Monitor learner progress, maintain accurate records, and meet key performance indicators
- Contribute to quality assurance, self-assessment, and continuous improvement activities
- Maintain current industry knowledge through CPD and professional engagement
We are looking for someone who has:
- A minimum NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a construction trade (Brickwork, Painting & Decorating, Tiling, or Plastering)
- Advanced construction qualifications (Level 4+ or equivalent experience)
- NEBOSH Management certification
- Significant industry experience working on site across multiple construction trades
- An Assessor Award (Level 3) or willingness to work towards it
- A TAQA Level 4 / IQA qualification or willingness to work towards it
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work independently and to deadlines
- The ability to build positive relationships with learners, employers, and colleagues
- Good IT skills and confidence using digital systems for assessment and tracking
A teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent), HNC/Degree in Construction, and relevant CSCS/SSSTS/SMSTS qualifications are desirable. Welsh language skills are welcomed, and support is available for those willing to learn.
This is a Fixed-Term position ending in July 2027.
