We are offering a finance student placement, seeking a 9–12 month industrial placement opportunity. This role is primarily focused on finance, while offering exposure across a broad range of finance activities, including data analysis, FP&A preparation, accounting systems, and general finance procedures.
SSP Health is a GP Practice Group operating predominantly across the North West, serving around 220,000 patients. We are a dynamic, forward-thinking team committed to supporting the delivery of high-quality healthcare through strong financial and operational management.

Responsibilities
During the placement, you will have the opportunity to:
- Assist with month-end reporting.
- Support financial modelling and analysis.
- Process invoices and approvals.
- Help with FP&A preparation and reporting activities.
- Work with accounting systems and finance procedures.
- Support automation initiatives and the maintenance of in-house tools.
- Explore AI coding software and contribute to process improvement.
- Help maintain and improve existing finance processes.
We are looking for a student who is:
- Ideally studying Accounting, Finance, or a related subject, although other relevant degrees will be considered.
- Confident using Excel, with strong attention to detail.
- A strong team player with a hardworking and proactive approach.
- Eager to learn and develop within a finance environment.
Previous experience with Sage Intacct or other finance systems is not essential, as full training will be provided.
