The company operates multiple manufacturing facilities in Yorkshire and owns several high-speed production lines producing both still and sparkling water for leading retailers such as Morrisons, Costco, Booker, Tesco and Iceland through private label, as well as the exclusive brands Ice Valley® and White Rock®.
SUMMARY
The Facilities Coordinator will be responsible for the coordination, management, and continuous improvement of all facilities activities across the Harrogate manufacturing site.
Working independently, the role will take ownership of the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the site's buildings, infrastructure, utilities, grounds, and support services. The Facilities Coordinator will manage contractors, oversee statutory compliance, coordinate planned and reactive maintenance activities, and ensure the site remains fully operational to support manufacturing.
The Facilities Coordinator will work closely with operational departments and external service providers to maintain a safe, compliant, and well-maintained working environment whilst supporting business continuity, sustainability, and operational excellence.
COMPETENCIES & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Facilities Management
- Take ownership of all facilities management activities across the Harrogate site.
- Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance of buildings, infrastructure, and site services.
- Ensure facilities remain safe, compliant, and operational at all times.
- Conduct routine inspections of buildings, welfare facilities, external areas, and site infrastructure.
- Maintain high housekeeping and workplace standards throughout the site.
Contractor Management
- Manage all facilities-related contractors and service providers.
- Coordinate contractor attendance and planned works.
- Ensure contractors comply with company procedures, permits to work, and health and safety requirements.
- Monitor contractor performance and quality of work.
- Maintain contractor competency records, insurance documentation, and service agreements.
Planned Maintenance and Compliance
- Coordinate statutory inspections and planned preventative maintenance programmes.
- Maintain compliance relating to: Fire safety systems, Emergency lighting, Legionella control, Asbestos management, HVAC systems, Security systems, Building fabric, Lifting equipment and pressure systems (where applicable)
- Maintain accurate compliance records and ensure audit readiness.
- Support customer, regulatory, and insurance inspections.
Utilities and Site Services
- Monitor and coordinate site utilities including electricity, gas, water, compressed air, drainage, and waste services.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce utility consumption.
- Coordinate repairs to utilities and infrastructure.
- Support sustainability initiatives across the site.
Health, Safety and Environmental
- Promote safe working practices across all facilities activities.
- Complete routine workplace inspections and facilities risk assessments.
- Support accident investigations and corrective actions where facilities issues are identified.
- Ensure environmental compliance relating to facilities operations.
- Maintain facilities documentation in line with company procedures.
Budget and Cost Control
- Manage day-to-day facilities expenditure.
- Obtain quotations and coordinate supplier procurement.
- Raise purchase orders and monitor facilities-related costs.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and improved operational efficiency.
Continuous Improvement
- Drive improvements to site facilities, infrastructure, and working environment.
- Monitor facilities performance and compliance KPIs.
- Coordinate small facilities improvement projects.
- Support business continuity planning and site resilience initiatives.
- Promote sustainable and energy-efficient working practices.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Qualifications & Experience
- IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent health and safety qualification desirable.
- IWFM Level 3 or equivalent Facilities Management qualification desirable.
- Minimum 3–5 years' experience within Facilities Management, Site Services, Building Maintenance, or Infrastructure Management.
- Experience working within FMCG, food manufacturing, beverage manufacturing, or industrial environments.
- Experience managing contractors and statutory compliance programmes.
- Good understanding of building maintenance, utilities, and facilities legislation.

- Strong health and safety awareness.

Pay: £42,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
