Customer Support Representative

Skirting World Ltd is the UK’s largest manufacturer and supplier of skirting boards and architraves. We’re a fast-growing company where quality products and exceptional customer service are at the heart of everything we do.

We are looking for an experienced Customer Support Representative to join our team at our Birmingham office.

What we’re looking for

Previous customer service experience specifically within the carpentry, timber, or home renovation sectors is highly desirable and will be a significant advantage.

Knowledge of timber products, mouldings, skirting, architraves, or working with trade customers in the building and renovation industry would be ideal, allowing you to hit the ground running and provide expert advice to our customers.

In addition, you should be:

Willing to learn and grow with the business
A reliable team player
Detail-oriented with a keen eye for accuracy
Enthusiastic, self-motivated and proactive
Highly computer literate (strong Excel & Word skills essential – full training provided on our bespoke ordering and messaging system)
An excellent communicator with a professional telephone manner
Adaptable and comfortable in a fast-paced, growing environment

Key Responsibilities

Order Processing & Administration

Inputting and managing customer orders
Responding promptly to email enquiries
Coordinating with Production and Transport teams to ensure efficient deliveries, collections and returns

Customer Support

Answering phone calls – starting with basic enquiries and progressing to full support (order taking, amendments, product advice, and complaint handling)
Providing knowledgeable support to customers

Showroom & In-Person Service

Welcoming customers to the showroom
Assisting with product enquiries and processing in-person orders

Additional Duties

General office tasks and occasional packing/dispatching of samples

Hours & Location

Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm (37.5 hours a week with a 0.5 hour unpaid break)
Based at our Birmingham office (this is not a remote position)
