Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Waiter/Waitress to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest service, taking orders, and ensuring a memorable dining experience. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your hospitality skills within a vibrant restaurant environment. Previous experience in a similar setting is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided. The position is paid and suitable for individuals passionate about food service and guest satisfaction.

Duties

Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special dietary requirements are noted
Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities
Check in with guests during their meal to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns
Handle payments efficiently using the POS system, providing correct change and receipts
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of tables, service stations, and dining areas
Assist in food preparation or kitchen duties if required, adhering to food safety standards
Follow all health and safety regulations diligently, including proper handling of food and beverages

Skills

Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant service is advantageous
Strong knowledge of food safety procedures and hygiene standards
Excellent guest service skills with a friendly, approachable manner
Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy periods
Good organisational skills with effective time management
Familiarity with food preparation or culinary processes is a plus
Capable of upselling menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and revenue
Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
