Michelle Lawley is a prestigious, well-established, and fast-paced hair, nail, and beauty destination located in the heart of beautiful Tettenhall Village. Known for our exceptional standards and loyal clientele, we pride ourselves on delivering a truly 5-star salon and retail experience.

Alongside our busy salon services, we offer an extensive luxury retail space featuring some of the industry’s most sought-after haircare, skincare, and beauty brands, with Clarins as our leading premium skincare account.

We are currently seeking a polished, professional, and sales-driven Salon Receptionist & Luxury Beauty Consultant to join our team on a part-time basis.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a genuine passion for luxury beauty, skincare, and client care, who thrives in a premium customer-facing environment.

The Role

This role combines front-of-house salon reception with luxury beauty retail sales and skincare consultation support.

You will be responsible for creating an exceptional first impression for every client, while confidently advising on premium beauty and haircare products and delivering a high-end shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities

Welcoming clients and providing exceptional front-of-house customer service
Managing the salon diary, appointments, and bookings system
Opening and locking the salon
Handling telephone, online, and in-person enquiries
Providing tailored product recommendations based on client needs
Supporting sales and consultations across our luxury beauty counter
Promoting and selling Clarins skincare and beauty products
Driving retail sales through confident product knowledge and personalised advice
Managing stock levels and merchandising displays
Creating attractive window and in-salon product displays
Processing purchases accurately and efficiently
Following up with clients to ensure excellent satisfaction

About You

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in:

Luxury retail sales
Beauty counter / skincare consultation
Salon reception or front-of-house roles
Customer service
Appointment systems / IT
Working towards sales targets and KPIs

You will be especially suited to this role if you:

Have a genuine passion for skincare, haircare, makeup, and beauty
Are confident recommending premium products
Enjoy building strong client relationships
Have previous salon, spa, or beauty counter experience
Have experience as a former hairdresser or beauty therapist (desirable)
Are polished, professional, and highly organised
Are flexible and enjoy working in a busy team environment

Salary & Incentives

The starting rate for this role is £12.71 per hour, with commission paid on top, plus additional sales incentives and performance-based rewards for strong retail performance.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and commercially minded candidate to increase their earnings through exceptional customer service and product sales.

Working Hours

Part time or full time available (applicant must be flexible).
