Full job description

The ODN Neonatal with Medical Complexity Neonatal Nurse Practitioner will work as part of the multidisciplinary team within the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and the Operational Delivery Network (ODN), providing specialist nursing care to neonates and infants with complex medical needs. This role will involve working collaboratively across regional neonatal services to ensure high-quality, evidence-based care is provided to vulnerable neonates, from birth to discharge.

The role provides leadership across the ODN, acting as a source of expertise , advice and knowledge for neonates, families, and healthcare professionals. Work ing with the ODN Manager and Lead Clinicians as part of a multi-disciplinary leadership team , the postholder will lead strategic and operational development of coherent and effective ODN arrangements, and delivery of a programme of work that addresses national and local priorities to improve services. The postholder will lead education and training, c linical e ffectiveness, c linical a udit, service- user engagement, and risk management related to the care of medically complex neonates and their families .
