Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Door & Gate Engineer to join our Midlands branch, supporting operations across central England for a nationwide company.
This role is heavily focused on fault finding, diagnostics, maintenance, and repair of industrial access systems in a fast-paced field service environment. You will be responsible for responding to breakdowns, identifying faults efficiently, and carrying out high-quality repairs to minimise downtime for customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair faults on a wide range of industrial door and gate systems
- Carry out reactive maintenance and emergency breakdown repairs
- Service, maintain, install and test equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation
- Work independently in the field across multiple customer sites
- Provide accurate fault reports and job completion documentation
- Participate in a call-out rota for out-of-hours emergency support

- High-Speed Doors
- Loading Bay Equipment
- Automatic gates
- Associated industrial access systems and controls
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in industrial door/gate engineering (essential)
- Strong background in fault finding and electrical/mechanical diagnostics
- Full UK Driving Licence (required)
- Ability to work independently and manage a field-based workload
- Strong problem-solving skills with a repair-first mindset
Role Details
- Full-time, permanent position
- Monday to Friday basic hours
- Overtime available
- Call-out rota included
- Field-based role (no remote working)
