Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Family Paralegal to join our legal team. The successful candidate will run their own caseload in family law matters, and also assist with case preparation, documentation, and client communication. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop their legal career within a professional environment that values organisation, efficiency, and clear communication.

Duties

Draft and prepare legal documents, correspondence, and reports using Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook.
Organise case files and maintain accurate records in accordance with firm procedures.
Assist with client communication, including scheduling appointments and follow-ups via email or phone.
Conduct legal research relevant to family law cases using IT resources.
Manage deadlines and prioritise tasks effectively through excellent time management skills.
Support attorneys during court proceedings by organising necessary documentation and exhibits.
Liaise with clients, courts, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth case progression.
Utilise organisational skills to track case progress and update case management systems regularly.

Qualifications

Proven communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines consistently.
Knowledge of IT systems relevant to legal practice is desirable.
Previous experience as a paralegal or in a similar role within family law is advantageous but not essential.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. This position is paid and suitable for individuals eager to contribute to a professional legal setting while developing their expertise in family law matters.

Pay: From £25,000.00 per year
