Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Service and Food Prep Operative to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while assisting in the preparation and serving of food and beverages. You will play a vital role in ensuring a clean and welcoming environment for our customers.

Responsibilities:

Customer Service

Greeting customers in a friendly and welcoming manner

Taking customer orders accurately and efficiently.

Answering customer queries about our menu and ingredients

Ensuring customer satisfaction and resolving any issues professionally.

Food Preparation:

Preparing pizza dough, toppings, and assembling pizzas according to our recipes

Operating the pizza oven to ensure pizzas are cooked to perfection.

Preparing and cooking rotisserie items, ensuring they are cooked safely and to our standards.

Slicing and portioning rotisserie meats for service.

Maintaining food quality and presentation standards .Adhering to all food safety and hygiene regulations.

General Duties: Maintaining a clean and organized work area, including the counter, food preparation surfaces, and equipment. Restocking ingredients and supplies as needed. Following opening and closing procedures. Operating and maintaining kitchen equipment safely. Working effectively as part of a team. Adhering to ASDA's site rules and regulations.

Skills and Qualifications:

Previous experience in food preparation or customer service is desirable, but not essential as full training will be provided. A positive attitude and excellent communication skills. Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment .Strong attention to detail and a commitment to food hygiene and safety. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Reliable and punctual. Basic numeracy skills for handling payments. Basic knife handling experience.

Requirements

Previous experience in a food service or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential.
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
A valid Food Safety Level 2 is an advantage but can be obtained upon hiring.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £12.71 per hour
