Full job description

About the Role

KPH Universe is looking for a friendly, reliable and enthusiastic Part-Time Till Assistant to join our team. This position is suitable for applicants aged 16–17 who are above school-leaving age and looking to gain valuable retail and customer-service experience.

Main Responsibilities

Welcome customers in a friendly and professional manner.
Operate the till and process cash and card payments accurately.
Issue receipts, refunds and exchanges according to company procedures.
Answer basic customer questions and provide helpful assistance.
Keep the till area clean, organised and well stocked.
Assist with restocking shelves and maintaining shop-floor presentation.
Report till discrepancies or customer concerns to a supervisor.
Follow all company health, safety and security procedures.

Candidate Requirements

Friendly, polite and confident when speaking with customers.
Reliable, punctual and willing to learn.
Able to work accurately when handling money.
Comfortable working as part of a team.
Previous experience is not required, as training will be provided.
Must be above the minimum school-leaving age.

Working Hours

This is a part-time position with shifts available after school, at weekends and during school holidays. Working hours will be arranged around education and will comply with young-worker employment regulations.
