The Primary Education Department in the Institute of Education is seeking to appoint Associate Lecturers in Primary Education. This is to work as a Lead Mentor completing school visits, quality assurance, and mentoring to students whilst they are on placements in school. Associate Lecturer contracts are flexible and so there is opportunity to work around other commitments the successful candidate may hold. Applications are welcome from those based in the Worcestershire, Gloucestershire and Herefordshire area but also from the wider West Midlands area. Opportunities to support trainee interviewing, teaching and marking may also be available.

Please share your knowledge and understanding of ‘inclusion’ in a school context and explain how, as a Lead Mentor, you would support school staff and trainees in ensuring high quality teaching provision.
NB. If you are successful at interview, you will be invited to join a pool of sessional lecturers and we will contact you if suitable work becomes available. We are not able to guarantee employment as it will be subject to student numbers. The number of hours available might only be a few hours per week.
