Overview
We are seeking a motivated Trainee Window Fitter’s Mate to join our team . Applicants must have a current Cscs card for site access and pass the requirements for our van fleet insurance . This entry-level position offers valuable hands-on experience in the installation and fitting of windows, with opportunities to develop skills across various trades. The role is ideal for individuals interested in construction and looking to start a career in the window and door industry The position is paid and provides a supportive environment for learning and professional growth.

Duties
- Assist experienced window fitters with the installation of windows and related fixtures on-site
- Handle and operate various hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently
- Support with the preparation of work areas, including site set-up and clean-up
- Assist with measuring, cutting, and fitting materials according to schematics and specifications
- Help with the handling and transportation of materials such as glass, frames, and fittings
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times to ensure a safe working environment
- Support other trades such as roofing, plastering, masonry, or carpentry as required during projects
Requirements
- Basic knowledge or interest in construction trades such as roofing, plumbing, welding, electrical work, or masonry is advantageous but not essential
- Experience with hand tools and power tools is desirable
- Good physical fitness with the ability to lift heavy materials and work at heights if necessary
- Willingness to learn new skills across different trades including fabrication, carpentry, or construction painting
- Ability to follow instructions accurately from schematics or technical drawings
- Strong team player with good communication skills
- Valid UK driving licence is mandatory; willingness to travel to various sites is essential
