Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Graduate Teaching Assistant to support academic staff and enhance the learning experience of students across various disciplines. This paid role offers an excellent opportunity for recent graduates to gain valuable classroom experience, develop teaching skills, and contribute to a positive educational environment. The successful candidate will work closely with faculty members to assist in delivering lessons, supporting student engagement, and ensuring smooth classroom operations.

Responsibilities

Assist lecturers and tutors in preparing teaching materials and resources for lessons.
Support students during seminars, tutorials, and laboratory sessions by providing guidance and clarification on coursework.
Supervise student activities and ensure a safe, inclusive learning environment.
Mark assignments, tests, or coursework under supervision, providing constructive feedback where appropriate.
Support the organisation of academic events, workshops, or extra-curricular activities.
Maintain accurate records of attendance and student progress as required.
Contribute to the development of teaching strategies aimed at improving student engagement and understanding.

Experience

Recent graduate with a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
Prior experience working with students or in an educational setting is advantageous but not essential.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with an approachable manner.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team while demonstrating initiative and independence.
Passion for education and supporting student success. This role provides an enriching environment for individuals aspiring to pursue careers in academia or education-related fields, offering practical experience in teaching and student support within a vibrant academic community.

Pay: £97.68-£120.00 per day
