Full job description

Join a Growing Automation Business

Advance Conveyor Group is a UK manufacturer of bespoke conveyor systems and automated warehouse solutions. Based in Newton Aycliffe, County Durham, we design, manufacture and install automation equipment for customers across a wide range of industries throughout the UK.

As our commercial and aftercare offering continues to grow, we are looking to recruit a confident and organised Sales & Customer Experience Co-ordinator.

Sitting at the heart of our sales process, you will often be the first point of contact for customers and visitors. You will support the commercial team, help coordinate enquiries and meetings, contribute to our social media presence and ensure every interaction reflects the professional standards of Advance.

This is much more than a general administration role. It is a varied position with real scope to develop alongside the business.

The Role

Your responsibilities will include:

Acting as the first point of contact for incoming sales enquiries by telephone and email
Logging enquiries accurately and ensuring they are followed up promptly
Providing day-to-day administrative support to the commercial team
Helping keep the sales process organised and moving forward
Meeting and greeting visitors and customers at our Newton Aycliffe facility
Helping coordinate customer meetings, interviews, events and exhibitions
Taking meeting notes and ensuring agreed actions are followed through
Supporting the early administration of service contracts and aftercare opportunities
Assisting with the preparation of customer quotations using approved templates and pricing spreadsheets
Helping coordinate parts orders and material requirements connected to sales enquiries
Drafting and managing content for the company’s LinkedIn page
Working with management to maintain consistent customer-facing messaging
Liaising with sales, projects, service and other internal teams to ensure information flows correctly
Supporting the development and administration of internal company processes

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

Confident, friendly and professional on the telephone
A strong written communicator
Well organised and able to manage a varied workload
Comfortable switching between different tasks and priorities
Confident meeting customers and representing the Advance brand
Creative, with an interest in writing and social media
Proactive and willing to take ownership of actions
Comfortable working closely with different departments
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

Desirable Experience

The following would be beneficial but is not essential:

Previous experience in sales support, administration or customer service
Experience preparing quotes, proposals or pricing documents
Experience managing LinkedIn or another business social media account
Exposure to engineering, manufacturing or automation environments

Full training will be provided on our products, systems and internal processes.
