ONS Group are looking to recruit a Network Cabling Engineer to work for a major UK based company operating nationwide. You will be working on site projects including network cabling, wireless installs and data cabinet installation. This role will mainly involve working remotely, engaging with clients onsite and project managers.
You will be working either individually or as part of a small team dedicated to installations. This role will involve engaging with clients, detailed plans and mapping; therefore, you will be required to have a good eye for detail and be able to quickly understand floor plan layouts. You will also be required to troubleshoot any issues that may occur while onsite during the installation.
Knowledge and skills required
- Ability to install PVC containment in live environment - essential
- Ability to install, terminate and test structured cabling, i.e. CAT5e, CAT6, CAT6a – essential
- Ability to install, terminate and test multimode and single mode fibre – not essential (training given)
- Ability to install audio visual equipment, i.e. interactive screens and AV looms - not essential (training given)
- Ability to deal with troubleshooting onsite
- Customer facing
The nature of the role will involve you travelling for the majority of the working week, staying in hotels in different areas of the UK.

Pay: £28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
