Sousa Law is looking to welcome a talented and committed Family Law Solicitor with 1–5 years’ post-qualification experience to our friendly Southampton team. We would love to hear from candidates who have a solid grounding in family law and feel ready to manage their own caseload with appropriate support. The successful candidate will be confident conducting their own advocacy, advising clients both in person and remotely, and taking part in in-person round table negotiations. We are looking for someone who brings professionalism, accuracy, strong organisational skills and clear communication, together with the confidence to work independently. There will also be opportunities to develop your own work and profile, whether through an existing network or by building relationships within the local community, helping to support both your own client base and the wider reputation of the firm.
We are particularly keen to hear from solicitors who are interested in constructive NCDR. Ideally, applicants will already be trained in, have experience of, or be willing to develop their skills in NCDR work, including collaborative work, mediation, One Couple One Lawyer work and arbitration. A client-centred, empathetic approach is essential, as is the ability to provide clear, practical advice during emotionally complex matters while maintaining strong professional relationships with colleagues, clients and professional contacts.
