The role:
An opportunity to join the West Quadrant Community Dietetic Service as an enthusiastic Band 6 Dietitian. The role offers a unique chance to support patients across both acute and community settings, providing continuity of care from hospital admission through to community follow-up where appropriate.

A Band 6 Dietitian seeking experience in both acute and community dietetics.

An existing staff member looking for a secondment opportunity.

An experienced Band 5 Dietitian looking to gain Band 6 experience.
All roles will be assessed for sponsorship eligibility in line with current Home Office requirements. NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) can only issue a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) where these are met.
Duration, Location, and Working Pattern:
Fixed- term, Part-time 24.5 hours per week
Shift Pattern: 4/7 days per week
Base location: Drumchapel Health Centre
Key responsibilities:
- Provide dietetic care to inpatients at Vale of Leven Hospital.

Follow up patients in the community when appropriate to ensure continuity of care.

Deliver dietetic services through:

General community clinics

Home visits
-
Care home visits
-
Home enteral feeding support
-
Work as part of the wider West Quadrant Community Dietetic Team.

Participate in a service committed to:

Clinical supervision

Quality improvement initiatives

Student practice placements (B and C placements)

Continuing professional development (CPD)
Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job:

BSc in Human Nutrition & Dietetics
-
HCPC registration
-
Full UK driving licence (essential)

Interest in both acute and community dietetics

Ability to work independently in community settings and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Commitment to quality improvement and professional development

Willingness to support patients across a variety of clinical environments
