Full job description

As an Instrument & Process Control Technician at NORIT Activated Carbon, you will play a vital role in maintaining and optimizing our production processes. Your expertise in instrumentation and control systems will ensure that our operations run efficiently and safely. You'll be working closely with a multidisciplinary team to troubleshoot issues, implement improvements, and maintain compliance with safety regulations. You will report to and work closely with Calibrations and Controls Engineer.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting regular inspections and maintenance of instrumentation and control systems.
Performing troubleshooting and repair of process control systems and instruments.
Calibrating and validating measurement and control equipment.
Documenting maintenance activities and updating records for equipment performance.
Assisting in the development and implementation of preventive maintenance plans.
Collaborating with engineering teams to upgrade and optimize control systems.
Ensuring compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.

Requirements

Completed degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, Process Control, or a related field. HND is a minimum requirement.
Prior experience in a similar role within a continuous manufacturing process environment.
Strong understanding of process control systems, instrumentation, and automation equipment.
Experience with PLCs, DCS, SCADA systems, and other control technologies.
Experience with process control project management.
Experience in control system design and software engineering.
Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in an industrial setting.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively.
Willingness to work in shifts as required.
