Responsibilities
- Coordinate all aspects of event planning, including venue selection, catering, decoration, and entertainment arrangements
- Liaise with clients to understand their needs and preferences, providing expert advice and upselling additional services where appropriate
- Manage timelines and budgets effectively to ensure timely delivery of events within financial constraints
- Oversee the setup and breakdown of events, ensuring all elements are executed to high standards
- Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations on the day of the event
- Handle guest services during events, addressing any issues promptly to maintain a positive experience
- Assist with fundraising activities related to events or organisational initiatives
- Maintain detailed records of event plans, contacts, and feedback for continuous improvement
Skills
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong time management skills to meet deadlines efficiently
- Effective communication skills for liaising with clients, vendors, and team members
- Experience in hospitality settings such as restaurants or hotels is highly desirable
- Proven ability in upselling services or products to maximise revenue opportunities
- Knowledge of guest services principles within the hospitality industry
- Ability to work well under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail
- Experience in fundraising activities is a plus
- A proactive attitude with excellent interpersonal skills and a customer-focused approach
