Full job description

POSITION: CNC Miller Programmer/Setter/Operator

SALARY: Starting at £18.52/hour (including shift allowance)

BENEFITS: Company Pension

HOURS:

38 hour rotating week shifts:
06:00-14:15, 13:45-22:00 Mon to Thu
06:00-12:00, 12:00-18:00 Fridays

LOCATION: BB5 5LW

DESCRIPTION:

Allspeeds Ltd has over 150 years experience in the design and manufacture of hydraulic equipment. We have gained a global reputation for the quality and effectiveness for a wide range of quality products for industries including Oil & Gas, Subsea, Offshore, Nuclear Decommissioning, Aerospace, Construction and Military.

We currently have a vacancy for a skilled CNC Miller Programmer/Setter/Operator with a good amount of experience. This is the ideal opportunity for a skilled operator with previous knowledge on Vertical CNC milling machines.

JOB ROLE (not limited to and training will be provided):

· Setting and operating CNC millers using new and proven programs and tooling.

· Fanuc based machine experience

· Programming new parts using CAM software and conventional code

· Manual editing of past programs to improve efficiency and lead times.

· Evaluating new tooling solutions.

· Running multiple machines and working with multiple materials.

· Performing in process inspection using hand measuring equipment and CMM.

· Maintaining the machine on a daily basis including coolant conditioning to ensure compliance with health and safety requirements.

· Keeping the working area clean, tidy and organised.

· Training/ mentoring of new apprentices and new starters.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

The successful candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

· Apprentice trained and time served.

· Recent experience of programming, setting and operating CNC Millers (essential)

· General machining experience, including CNC and conventional.

· Enthusiastic approach to continuous improvement and health and safety.

· Able to give constructive feedback and ideas to improve quality and cycle times.

· Work under their own initiative, forward thinking and proactive.

· Work well individually and with our team.

You should be able to provide a full C.V of previous employment history together with suitable references.
