We are looking for a qualified Environmental Health Practitioner to join our busy and forward-looking Commercial Regulatory Services Team.
Applications will be considered from final year environmental health students and those environmental health graduates yet to complete their professional practice experience.
The post offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and experience dealing with a wide range of environmental health duties, including traditional Food and H&S roles, animal activities licensing, private water supplies work, the application of smokefree legislation and other relevant tasks as the need arises.
The contracted hours are 37 per week and this will include some evening and occasional weekend duties.
Ideally you will have recent experience in relation to the role. However, the team includes 2 EHP apprentices set to commence the final year of their degree, and 2 newly appointed technicians, so we are well placed to support the right candidate to undertake further training.
If you have the skills to educate and to effectively communicate legal requirements, the character to take firm enforcement action, a commitment to delivering a quality service and would like to join a supportive environment to develop your career, then we would like to hear from you
As an employer we like to thank our employees for their hard work and commitment by giving them the opportunity to access a range of employee benefits including flexi time, a minimum of 30 days’ annual leave (plus Bank Holidays), family friendly policies, access to an Employee Assistance Programme, Local Government Pension Scheme, AVC’s, life assurance scheme, payment of professional fees, discounted parking, cycle to work scheme and discounted bus and rail fares.
