Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Hotel Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle various tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Greet guests upon arrival with a warm and friendly demeanour.
Manage check-in and check-out processes efficiently, ensuring all guest information is accurately recorded.
Handle guest inquiries and provide information about hotel services, local attractions, and amenities.
Maintain a tidy and organised reception area, ensuring all materials are up-to-date.
Process reservations and cancellations in accordance with hotel policies.
Address guest complaints or concerns promptly and professionally, escalating issues as necessary.
Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure guest satisfaction during their stay.
Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing phone calls.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a hospitality or hotel environment is preferred but not essential.
Excellent phone etiquette and strong verbal communication skills are required.
A passion for providing outstanding guest services with a focus on hospitality.
Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to cater to our diverse clientele.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy setting.
Proficiency in using computer systems for reservations and guest management is an advantage.
