The Activities and Financial Resilience Community Coordinator will deliver early intervention, practical support, community activities and financial resilience guidance for residents within the Claremont area and surrounding communities.
The role focuses on supporting individuals and families experiencing financial hardship, social isolation, digital exclusion or risk of crisis by providing person-centred support, coordinating community activities and workshops, and developing effective referral pathways into specialist services.
Working within Claremont Park Community Centre, the post holder will help residents build confidence, improve budgeting and money management skills, access appropriate support services and reduce reliance on crisis interventions while increasing participation in community activities that promote health, wellbeing and resilience.
Key responsibilities
- Develop trusted relationship with residents accessing the community centre
- Provide welcoming and inclusive environment for all centre users
- Carry out initial needs assessment to identify support around financial resilience and wellbeing and wellbeing
- Support residents to access appropriate services through effective signposting and referrals.
- Encourage participation ain centre activities to reduce isolation and improve wellbeing
- Support in the delivery of centre-based activities working with the wider team
- Support volunteers within the centre
- Build partnerships with partner organisation and local services
- Support integration working with visiting agencies and One Stop Shop services
Special Working Conditions
- Some evening, weekend and public holiday work required.
- The role will be subject to a 3-month probationary period.
- Due to the nature of the work, applicants must be 18 or over.
- Enhanced DBS check required.
Pay: £16,213.60 per year
