Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Diamond Drilling & Sawing Skilled Operative to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various construction and fabrication techniques, with the ability to operate specialised drilling and sawing equipment safely and efficiently. Responsibilities
- Operate diamond drilling and sawing machinery to cut through concrete, stone, brick, and other materials with precision.
- Prepare work sites by setting up equipment, ensuring safety barriers are in place, and assessing structural conditions.
- Execute tasks related to carpentry, roofing, masonry, plumbing, electrical work, or fabrication as required on-site.
- Assist in the installation or removal of structural components using hand tools and power tools.
- Maintain equipment by performing routine inspections, cleaning, and minor repairs to ensure optimal performance.
- Follow health and safety regulations diligently during all operations to minimise risks.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and project managers to meet project deadlines and specifications.
- Document work progress accurately and report any issues or hazards encountered during operations.
Skills
- Proven experience in diamond drilling and sawing operations within construction or industrial environments.
- Strong knowledge of carpentry, roofing, masonry, plumbing, electrical systems, or general construction painting is advantageous.
- Proficiency in using hand tools (e.g., chisels, hammers) and power tools (e.g., drills, saws).
- Ability to operate fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
- Familiarity with welding techniques is desirable but not essential.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in complex tasks.
- Good understanding of health & safety protocols relevant to construction sites.

Pay: £35,420.00-£42,522.21 per year
