Full job description

The learning and development opportunities are vast with a dedicated training and development nurse in the department. We offer both internal and external courses to help you to develop to your full potential in nursing.

We consider Ward 11 to be an innovative creative and friendly environment for those nurses who wish to provide high quality patient centred care.

Full Time and Part time posts are available offering exciting opportunities to join our team on Ward 11

PLEASE NOTE - Previous Applicants need not apply

To work as a registered nurse within a ward team within the Integrated Medicine and Patient Flow Division.

To prioritise and deliver nursing care and assessment as needed.

To demonstrate high standards of care and set examples of best practise within the delivery of patient care.

To liaise with other departments and staff to ensure that patient care is delivered.

To ensure patients’ safety, privacy and dignity is maintained at all times.

To support the nurse in charge of the ward and liaise with other departments and professionals to ensure that the needs of the ward are met.

Following appropriate development to take charge of the ward and oversee patient admissions and transfers and the care delivered by other staff.

To undertake such duties as from time to time determined by the Unit Manager and/or Head Nurse.

As a busy holiday destination we have plenty to see and do including Blackpool Tower and Ballroom, bars, cafes and restaurants and theatres with major West End productions.

These positions are available to Student Nurses, we would also welcome applicants who are interested in a Secondment Opportunity.
