Full job description

Prodrive Advanced Technology design, develop and produce solutions that enhance our clients projects and solve their technical challenges. We specialise in active aero systems, intelligent interiors and niche vehicles across automotive, aerospace, defence and marine sectors. Our capabilities span across a wide range of functions including system integration, design engineering, electronics and electrical systems, and chassis engineering.

We are looking for a Senior Verification and Validation Engineer to ensure that system performances are robustly verified against customer and system requirements by the appropriate virtual and physical tests. The role will also consolidate, develop, and help drive Prodrives physical verification and validation capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead in the definition, implementation, and management of system DVPs including the detailed specification of virtual and physical tests, hardware requirements and schedules, covering multiple physics disciplines (e.g. Electrical/electronics, controls, software, NVH, structural, durability, dynamics, thermal, fluids and environmental)
Work with project technical lead, technical specialists, and subject matter experts to establish appropriate system V&V requirements, methodology, validate DFMEAs, and populate risk registers
Work with internal and external stakeholders to negotiate and establish alignment of virtual and physical DV test plans, test specifications, and schedules
Visualise the system physical phenomena and testing requirements to guide planning of virtual and physical test execution and provide a good balance of time, cost, and quality
Plan and execute internal test activities (hands-on), including estimating, planning, risk assessments, setup, testing, and reporting, to meet requirements
Monitor system V&V progress against schedule, giving a clear status to project lead, technical lead, and interfacing teams, using the appropriate Prodrive quality documents (e.g., CAE tracker)
Aid in business development activities, including proposals and project estimating
Lead and develop junior team members

Who are we looking for?

Our ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar Senior V&V role managing and delivering cross-functional vehicle DVP, including homologation and certification activities, as well as organising test venues, logistics, spares, risk assessments. You will have a technical understanding of the required testing to be able to challenge for better ways of achieving success, and be able to effectively manage a situation when compromises must be made. With strong problem solving and interpersonal skills when working with multiple cross-functional stakeholders, you will be an organised self-starter who is able to prioritise effectively.
