Support Worker Social Housing
£12.71 to £15.50hr
Cardiff

BRC is currently recruiting experienced Support Workers to work within social housing services across Cardiff, supporting young people aged 16 to 24.
We have a variety of opportunities available, including relief work and flexible shift patterns, covering days, nights, and weekends, as well as more structured 9 to 5 contracts.
The roles will involve:

Supporting young people to maintain their tenancy and develop independent living skills
- Providing day to day welfare support and completing regular checks
- Supporting with housing related issues, including rent, budgeting, and tenancy sustainment
- Creating and updating support plans, risk assessments, and case notes
- Encouraging engagement with education, employment, training, and community services
- Supporting residents with emotional wellbeing and building confidence
- Working alongside external agencies and professionals to achieve positive outcomes
- Responding appropriately to safeguarding concerns and challenging situations
- Maintaining a safe and supportive environment for residents

What we are looking for:

Minimum 6 months experience working in a support role
- Experience within social housing, supported accommodation, homelessness, youth services, or similar settings
- A valid Enhanced DBS check in date
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
- A proactive and person centred approach to supporting young people
