Full job description

At Ilmor, we specialise in the design, simulation, development and manufacture of powertrain systems, electronics, and software for Motorsport, Automotive and Marine applications. With an international presence, we value ourselves on providing technologically advanced solutions. We are innovating at pace in the development of high efficiency, race, and production ready, ICE and EV solutions for both land and sea.

You would be working for a business which is highly invested in technology, at the forefront of engineering developments and in an environment which truly has a family feel and everyone knows your name.

We are now looking to recruit an experienced Facilities / Site Services Manager on an initial fixed term contract of up to 12 months.

Role Purpose:

Playing a vital role in ensuring the site is maintained and kept to the highest stands as well as taking responsibility of how the site operates day to day.

Key Responsibilities:

Taking full ownership of facilities across the site
Being first point of contact for site related concerns
Managing building services and utilities including HVAC, electrical and general infrastructure
Coordinating contractors and ensuring safe systems of work
Supporting and coordinating both reactive and preventative maintenance to ensure asset reliability and minimal downtime
Working closely with operations to minimise disruption and support manufacturing activity
Overseeing site services including general facilities and workplace areas
Supporting health & safety compliance, audits and risk assessments
Contributing to site improvements, upgrades and ongoing development projects
Introducing structure, processes and more effective ways of working
Supporting site response where required, including out of hours support if required
Keeping strong records and contract management of provisioned services

Relationship Management:

Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance
Work collaboratively, negotiate and engage with key stakeholders to facilitate delivery and compliance
Work closely with contractors to deliver high standards of work

Skills & Attributes:

Hands on approach
Structured approach to work with the ability and flexibility to meet tight deadlines
A genuine desire and determination to deliver commitments
Good communication skills in verbal and written formats

Qualifications & Experience:

Strong experience managing contractors and external service providers
Experience in facilities, engineering or site services within a manufacturing environment
Good understanding of building services and site infrastructure
Health & safety knowledge (NEBOSH or similar would be ideal)
