London Golf Club is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Trainee Greenkeeper to join our Course Maintenance Team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a career in greenkeeping and turf management while working on two championship golf courses in a stunning environment.
About the Role
Reporting to the Head Greenkeeper, you will assist with the maintenance and presentation of the golf courses to the highest standards. You will gain hands-on experience across all aspects of golf course management while receiving continued training and development.
Key Responsibilities
· Assisting with the maintenance and preparation of the golf course for daily play
· Maintaining high standards of turf care
· Operating machinery and equipment
· Supporting golf course construction and improvement projects
· Following all health and safety procedures and club policies
· Keeping work areas, facilities and equipment clean and tidy
· Completing necessary reporting and record keeping
· Working closely with the Greenkeeping, Landscaping and wider Golf Operations teams
What We're Looking For
Essential Requirements
· Reliable, punctual and hardworking
· Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
· A genuine interest in turf management and golf course maintenance
· Enrolled on, or willing to continue studying towards, a recognised Greenkeeping /Turf Management qualification (minimum Level 2/QCF or equivalent)
· Working towards relevant machinery operator certificates for ATVs, ride-on mowers and tractors
Desirable
· Previous experience working outdoors, within grounds maintenance, landscaping, agriculture or greenkeeping
