Join the Zaks Family at Zaks Yankee Traveller

We are looking for experienced Grill/Line Chefs to join our kitchen team at Zaks Yankee Traveller.

If you want to work in a fast-paced, local, well-established, iconic business and have a passion for food, Zaks could be the place for you.

We are looking for experienced chefs to step up to our grill with the responsibility of running a great service, cooking great food and ensuring the health, safety and well being of both our customers and team.

About Us

Zaks is a family-owned group of American Diners established in Norwich in 1976.

With an authentic American menu using fresh local produce and recipes from the States, Zaks has become one of Norwich's most famous places to eat.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of grilled dishes to meet menu specifications.
Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are consistently maintained in the kitchen.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and service.
Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure quality and consistency.
Assist in maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment.
Provide excellent service by engaging with the restaurant team and guests as needed.

Qualifications

Proven experience in food preparation and cooking in a professional kitchen environment
Strong culinary skills with a focus on grill techniques
Knowledge of food safety standards and practices
Previous experience in a restaurant setting, including serving
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Excellent meal preparation skills and attention to detail

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From £13.25 per hour
