Kepak St. Merryn in Bodmin is a beef processing facility. We offer beef products ranging from retail ready cuts for butchers’ counters to branded packaged meat, all as part of our service; raised on open pastures, sourced from local farmers and hand-selected by our master butchers, we produce beef products with integrity and unmatched quality assurance.
We are currently looking for a Quality Controller who has some knowledge within a food manufacturing environment. This is a full time, permanent position working from 6.00am to production finish, Monday to Friday.
Role Description:
You will be working at the Critical Control Point (CCP) stand facility. This is a critical role ensuring that all production processes meet the required standards and comply with food safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:

Monitor and inspect all aspects of the production process to ensure compliance with CCP standards

Conduct regular checks and tests to ensure that all products meet the required specifications and quality standards

Identify and address any quality issues or defects in a timely manner

Implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence of quality issues

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of quality inspections and tests

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address any quality-related concerns and implement process improvements as necessary
Requirements

Prior experience in a quality control role, preferably in a food production environment

Knowledge of HACCP principles is desirable, although training will be given

Thorough knowledge of CCP standards and food safety regulations

Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills

Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team

A flexible and proactive approach to work, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities
