Job Description:
Your day-to-day role will be working within our component storage warehouse in Littlehampton, West Sussex. You will be part of the wider stores team with a focus on picking and kitting components to create “kits” of parts ready to be passed into the various cleanroom and moulding production areas. Depending on how busy the production areas are, this can be a fast-paced role while requiring a keen eye for detail and good organizational skills.
You will also be trained to cover other stores roles such as goods inwards, packing, and dispatch.
Key Responsibilities:
· Work closely with the production manager to enable a continuous flow of kits to be available to the production areas.
· Managing stock locations, stock checking and working as part of the team during cycle counts.
· Pick the orders in an accurate and timely manner.
· Locate, count or weight components to the correct part and lot numbers.
· Receive and restock unused or over-issued components back to stock.
· Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area.
Skills required:
· Excellent numeracy and counting skills.
· Able to work alone, or with a small team within a cleanroom environment.
· 3.5 ton counterbalance forklift license (or experience).
· Good computer skills (Microsoft office and production management systems).
Training:
Full training will be provided on the company’s internal processes and computer systems.
Working hours, Holidays and breaks:
· 8am-5pm Monday to Thursday and 8am-1.30 on a Friday.
· There will be two 15 minute tea breaks and a 30 minute lunch break.
· Meridian Medical is shut for all UK bank holidays as well as over the Christmas period.
· 28 days paid holiday will be provided (to include bank holidays).
