Full job description

The Role

As a Customs Operator, you will play a key role in supporting the smooth movement of freight through customs processes while delivering exceptional service to our customers.

Key responsibilities include:

Completing import and export customs declarations.
Ensuring compliance with HMRC and international customs regulations.
Using customs software and operational systems accurately and efficiently.
Resolving customs queries and supporting customers through the clearance process.
Working closely with transport, customer service and operations teams.
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and process development.
Assisting with maintaining high compliance and audit standards.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

Minimum 2 years' experience within a customs clearance or freight forwarding environment.
Experience using customs systems and customs declaration platforms.
Strong understanding of import and export procedures.
Excellent attention to detail and compliance focus.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment.

Desirable:

Experience with Thyme/Descartes or other customs platforms.
Knowledge of UK, EU and Irish customs procedures.
Understanding of transit documentation, T1/T2 movements and customs compliance requirements.
