DCYPHER BEAUTY are at an exciting stage in our growth journey and are looking for a
Laboratory Technician to join our team at our Head Quarters based in Runcorn, Cheshire (WA7 1HR)
This is a hands-on, bench-based role supporting our cosmetic chemist across formulation sampling, stability and compatibility testing, and raw material management.
You'll be joining at a stage where your work has direct, visible impact, the samples you prepare and the tests you run feed straight into products moving toward real launches. The role provides plenty of opportunity for contact, discussion and co-operation with stakeholders across the business, with genuine opportunity to grow your skills and responsibility as the team and product range expand.
A day in the life…
· Formulation bench support of chemist creating samples
· Formulation support accurately evaluating and monitoring stability and compatibility testing
· Maintaining accurate, organised records of stability and compatibility results
· Supporting sampling creation process for focus groups or PR sampling needs
· Entering all formulations, process and stability info into system
· Supporting the uploading and filing of regulatory documentation
· Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the lab and equipment, calibrating equipment
· Source and order raw materials and packaging for lab
· Supporting internal production needs in creating products
Our ideal candidate...
· Educated to BSc level in Chemistry, Biology or related field and/or SCS diploma.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office programmes
· Bench lab experience within a role or university laboratory setting
· Good written communication skills for clear and accurate documentation
· Highly organised with strong attention to detail, accuracy in sample prep and record-keeping is essential
· A genuine interest in cosmetic product development and an eagerness to learn and be proactive
