Overview
We are seeking a dependable Mobile Patrol Officer with knowledge of the China clay area of St Austell to join our security team.
Hours are Thursdays and Fridays 16.00 to 01.00
Saturdays and Sundays 17.00 to 01.00
This role involves patrolling Imerys sites in the clays and as far as Fowey Docks to ensure safety, prevent loss, and monitor premises effectively for trespassing motorcyclists and walkers. The ideal candidate will possess reporting skills through the Guardhouse App, be physically fit to open and close gates, and committed to maintaining a secure environment. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic enviroment.
Duties
- Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas using our company vehicle to monitor for suspicious activity or security breaches.
- Perform loss prevention activities by identifying potential theft or vandalism and intervening appropriately.
- Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or incidents.
- Complete reports of patrols using Guardhouse.
- Assist in maintaining the security of premises by checking doors, windows, and access points during patrols.
- Liaise with our 24 hour Clay Control room, providing clear information about incidents.
- Engage with visitors or staff courteously while enforcing security policies.
Qualifications
- Valid SIA License
- Strong observational skills with the ability to recognise potential security threats.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Physically fit enough to open and close gates, perform patrol duties over extended periods and in various weather conditions.
- A valid driving full UK driving licence is mandatory.
Pay: £12.80 per hour
