Full job description

Caribbean Cellars, Ltd is an importer, wholesaler, and retailer of category-leading beverage brands with over 30 years of trading history in the British Virgin Islands (BVI). It is the leading beverage distribution company in the BVI

Job Summary:
Assist the Retail Store Manager in all aspects of the Store's operation (including, but not limited to, ordering, stocking, and cashing orders, advising customers, packing orders, and keeping the store a presentable and safe environment for customers and employees).

Essential Functions:

Prepares the store and keeps it presentable and welcoming for customers.
Ensures rotation of stock when putting deliveries into inventory
In the absence of the Retail Store Manager, carefully checks deliveries against accompanying invoices.
Process customer orders through the POS system according to procedures.
Understands and implements manual order backup procedures when the POS system is offline.
Processes any applicable customer discounts strictly in line with guidelines and procedures.
Proactively keeps the store a safe environment for customers to browse and purchase.
Assists customers with choices and makes recommendations as required.

Required Education and Experience:

High School Graduate, College Preferred
Previous Administrative Experience is desired
Previous work experience in a Sales Environment
Knowledge of wine, beer, spirits, and tobacco preferred.
Word-processing and Spreadsheet Skills
Interfaces with Customers and other Caribbean Cellars staff members
