<p><span><strong>Equans is looking for a Mobile Electrician to join our team on the Wheatley Contract based from Bellshill covering the surrounding area on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £38,425 per annum and in addition you will receive an excellent benefits package.</strong></span></p> <p><span><strong><u><br>What will you deliver?</u></strong></span></p> <ul> <li><span>Perform routine Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) on electrical infrastructure and plant according to site schedules and CAFM systems.</span></li> <li><span>Address and resolve reactive maintenance tasks, proactively identifying areas for improvement.</span></li> <li><span>Swiftly remedy plant faults and defects to maintain equipment in operational order.</span></li> <li><span>Maintain adequate stock of spares to support maintenance and reactive works.</span></li> <li><span>Provide parts lists and estimated timescales for remedial work.</span></li> <li><span>Complete all relevant documentation and ensure timely submission to the contract administrator.</span></li> <li><span>Prepare Method Statements and Risk Assessments for all tasks to uphold safe working practices.</span></li> <li><span>Foster strong working relationships with Equans staff, subcontractors, and client representatives.</span></li> <li><span>Maintain a safe and healthy working environment, adhering to PPE and uniform requirements.</span></li> <li><span>Keep up-to-date plant logs and supervise subcontractor activities on-site.</span></li> <li><span>Ensure compliance with contractual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).</span></li> <li><span>Utilise and update the CAFM system (e.g., PlanOn) with accurate data for PPM and reactive tickets.</span></li> <li><span>Operate the Permit to Work System in line with Equans' Technical and SHEQ processes.</span></li> <li><span>Provide engineering support during emergencies to ensure operational continuity.</span></li> <li><span>Obtain necessary Technical Appointments (e.g., LVCP/LVAP/HVAP) to issue permits to subcontractors and Equans staff.</span></li> <li><span>Ensure maintenance, testing, and inspections comply with BS7671 standards.</span></li> <li><span>Participate in the oncall rota, which is 1 in 4.</span></li> </ul> <p><span><strong><u><br>What can we offer you?</u></strong></span></p> <p><span>On offer is a salary of £38,425 per annum and in addition you will receive an excellent benefits package, which includes;</span></p> <ul> <li><span>24 days annual leave (+ public holidays)</span></li> <li><span>Life Cover equivalent to 1.5 times annual salary</span></li> <li><span>Employee discount shopping schemes on major brands and retailers</span></li> <li><span>Gym membership discounts </span></li> <li><span>Cycle to work scheme </span></li> <li><span>Holiday purchase scheme</span></li> <li><span>2 corporate social responsibility days per year</span></li> <li><span>Broad range of learning opportunities, such as professional qualifications,</span></li> <li><span>collective/individual training, and personalized support programmes</span></li> <li><span>Attractive Employee Referral Rewards Scheme</span></li> <li><span>Access to our growing employee networks including WiE (Women in Equans), RISE (BAME), LGBTQI+, Working Parents, YPN (Young Persons Network) and our Disability Network</span></li> <li><span>24/7 Employee Assistance Program and access to mental wellbeing app</span></li> </ul> <p><span><strong><u><br>Who are we looking for?</u></strong></span></p> <ul> <li> <p><span>A recognised electrical industry qualification will be required, and previous experience in a commercial/industrial plumbing setting is essential.</span></p> </li> <li> <p><span>Fully qualified electrician; Qualified to IEE 18th edition.</span></p> </li> <li> <p><span>Experience of Electrical and Multiskilled PPM’s and Emergency/Electrical Lighting testing </span></p> </li> <li> <p><span>Experience in Facilities management and general electrical maintenance.</span></p> </li> <li> <p><span>C&G 2391 Testing and certification of electrical installations. (Desirable)</span></p> </li> <li> <p><span>Sound awareness of risk assessment and working safely with equipment.</span></p> </li> <li> <p><span>Ability to follow instruction, work to plans (method statements), communicate, present and report technical information as appropriate to trade/skill.</span></p> </li> <li><span>Candidate must be able to maintain, service and repair a wide range of the building services, some listed below:</span><br><span>- Working with Lighting and Small Power.</span><br><span>- Low voltage electrical distribution system and switchgear,</span><br><span>- Fire alarm systems</span><br><span>- Ventilation and A/C systems</span><br><span>- LTHW heating boilers and pumps</span><br><span>- Domestic H&C water systems</span></li> <li> <p><span>Due to the nature of the contract, successful candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Disclosure Scotland to Basic Level.</span><br><span> </span></p> </li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><span><strong>Who are we?</strong> <br>In the UK & Ireland, Equans is a provider of sustainable facilities management and regeneration, and cutting-edge energy and digital services.
