Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head Chef/Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team. This pivotal role involves overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality food, and maintaining exceptional standards of food safety and hygiene. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for hospitality. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to manage a vibrant kitchen environment, develop innovative menus, and contribute to our establishment’s reputation for excellence.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise the kitchen team, including chefs, cooks, and kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and high standards of food production
Oversee all aspects of food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency and quality in every dish served
Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and control food costs to optimise operational efficiency
Develop innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while catering to customer preferences
Enforce strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards in compliance with local health codes
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction
Train staff on food preparation techniques, safety procedures, and service standards
Monitor kitchen operations during service hours to resolve any issues promptly and maintain a smooth workflow
Maintain organised records of kitchen activities, including stock levels, wastage, and staff schedules

Experience

Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen environment, ideally in a restaurant or hospitality setting
Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in food production and food safety practices
Demonstrable team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff effectively
Solid knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and menu development
Previous experience in restaurant management or as a head chef is highly desirable
Familiarity with hospitality industry standards and serving procedures is advantageous
Strong leadership qualities combined with excellent organisational skills to oversee daily operations efficiently

Pay: £13.56-£15.56 per hour
