Door-to-Door Solar Sales Team Manager

Dorset Green Energy

Job Type: Full-timePay: Basic salary to be discussed + survey payments + personal commission + team override commission

The Opportunity

Dorset Green Energy is looking for an experienced, driven and highly motivated Door-to-Door Sales Team Manager to recruit, build and manage a successful field sales team.

With a government-backed energy scheme launching in September, this is an excellent opportunity to join us at an important stage of growth.

Your team will engage directly with homeowners, introduce the opportunity available through the scheme and book qualified appointments for home solar surveys.

This is a hands-on management position. We are looking for someone who can lead from the front, recruit the right people, motivate their team and generate appointments personally as well as through their team.

Key Responsibilities

Recruit, build and develop a high-performing door-to-door sales team
Manage, motivate and support team members in the field
Set daily and weekly performance targets
Monitor individual and team performance
Coach new and existing team members to improve results
Lead from the front and personally engage with homeowners
Explain the government-backed scheme clearly and professionally
Generate and book qualified appointments for solar surveys
Ensure customers receive accurate information and a professional experience
Maintain high standards of conduct and compliance across the team
Help grow the operation by continually recruiting and developing new team members

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in door-to-door sales, field sales, canvassing or team management.

You should be:

Confident managing and motivating a field-based sales team
Experienced in recruiting and building successful teams
Target-driven and comfortable working in a performance-focused environment
An excellent communicator
Professional and confident when speaking with homeowners
Self-motivated, reliable and organised
Comfortable leading from the front and generating your own results
Ambitious and looking for an opportunity with significant earning potential

Experience within solar, renewable energy, home improvements, utilities or other door-to-door customer acquisition campaigns would be an advantage.

Earnings & Package

We want our managers to benefit directly from both their own performance and the success of the team they build.

The package includes:

Basic salary – to be discussed based on experience

Pay per qualified solar survey booked

Personal sales commission – earn commission from your own results

Team override commission – earn additional commission based on sales generated by your team

This creates the opportunity to build a substantial income as your team grows and performs.
