Job Summary
Illumineye Lashes & Brow Lounge is an award-winning luxury lash, brow and nail salon based in Ashley Cross, Poole. With 25 years of industry expertise behind our founder and six years as an established salon, we have built a loyal, high-end clientele and a reputation for exceptional results and service.
We are a small, high-performing team and we take enormous pride in the environment we have created, for our clients and for the people who work with us. We operate across three service tiers (Studio, Signature and Master), with a clear structure, elevated brand standards, and a genuine commitment to developing our team.
We are now looking for an experienced, driven Salon Manager to join us and help lead the next chapter of Illumineye’s growth.
The Role
This is a hands-on management position for someone who is equally comfortable leading a team, delivering exceptional treatments, and taking real ownership of the day-to-day running of a premium salon.
You will work closely with our founder and be trusted to uphold the Illumineye standard at all times. This is not a figurehead role, we need someone who will genuinely run the salon, nurture the team, and protect the client experience whether the owner is present or not.
If you are someone who takes quiet pride in doing things properly, who leads by example, and who understands that excellence is a habit rather than an event — we want to hear from you.
What You Will Do
Day-to-Day Operations
- Open and close the salon in line with procedure.
- Manage the daily appointment schedule — anticipate and resolve any gaps or issues before they become problems.
- Maintain salon presentation and client environment to the highest standard at all times.
- Handle stock levels, flag low stock proactively, and manage ordering.
- Ensure all systems (Phorest) are kept up to date — client records, retail entries, appointment notes.
Team Leadership
- Lead the team with confidence and consistency — setting standards, giving clear direction, and holding people accountable with kindness.
- Support the development of junior team members, creating structured progression and skill-building opportunities.
- Handle performance conversations early and professionally, before small issues become big ones.
- Foster a positive, motivated team culture where the Illumineye standard is shared and owned by everyone.
- Lead by example in client care, retail, rebooking and every detail of the client journey
Client Experience
- Ensure every client leaves feeling exceptional — not just in appearance, but in how they were treated.
- Handle client concerns and complaints with professionalism and warmth, escalating only where necessary.
- Drive rebooking and retail recommendations as a natural, consistent part of every appointment.
- Protect and enhance the salon’s reputation in the local community and online.
Performance & Reporting
- Track and report on key metrics weekly: revenue, retail percentage, rebooking rate, and average ticket value.
- Hold yourself and the team accountable to targets — and know how to course-correct when things drift.
- Communicate with the owner clearly and proactively — no surprises, no issues held back.
- Be the first point of contact for all operational matters in the owner’s absence.
- Handle client concerns and complaints with professionalism and warmth, escalating only where necessary.
- Drive rebooking and retail recommendations as a natural, consistent part of every appointment.
- Protect and enhance the salon’s reputation in the local community and online.
- Manage stock levels, ordering supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation
- Implement health and safety protocols in accordance with industry regulations
- Promote salon services through marketing initiatives and client engagement This position is ideal for a proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to delivering outstanding beauty services. If you possess the necessary skills and experience, we welcome your application to join our vibrant team.
What We Are Looking For
Essential
- Proven experience in a senior beauty therapy or salon management role.
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Beauty Therapy or equivalent qualification.
- A genuine passion for delivering a premium client experience, every single time.
- Confident leadership skills — you know how to bring the best out of people.
- Commercial awareness: you understand what good retail and rebooking performance looks like and how to achieve it.
- Excellent communication skills — with clients, with the team, and with the owner.
- Solutions-focused mindset — you look for ways to make things work, not reasons they won’t.
- Someone who takes ownership fully, not just when the owner is watching
Desirable
- Experience with Phorest salon software.
- Experience managing or mentoring junior therapists.
- A following or reputation in the local beauty community.
- An interest in brand, aesthetics, and what a luxury salon looks and feels like.
- Strong lash, nails and/or brow skills — treatments may form part of your role.
What We Offer
- Competitive salary with a clear structure — your pay reflects your role and your results.
- A salon that runs to a genuinely high standard — the brand, the clientele, the environment.
- Opportunity to grow with a business that is actively expanding — training academy, professional product range, and more.
- A founder who values good management and will invest in the right person.
- A small, close-knit team where your contribution is seen and recognised.
- Staff treatments and professional product access.
- A role with real responsibility and real autonomy.
