Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Paint Shop General Hand to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will assist in various paint preparation, rubbing down, masking, packing and assembly within our paint shop environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop practical skills in a dynamic setting, supporting the production of high-quality products. The position is paid and suitable for individuals eager to gain hands-on experience in a manufacturing context.
A premium would be pay with wet spray or powder coating experience.
The shop produces small batch powder and wet paint parts
Responsibilities
- Assist with preparation and application of paint coatings on various components and structures
- Operate hand tools, power tools
- Support Painting and assembly processes as required, including handling heavy materials and parts.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the paint shop area
- Assist with equipment setup, changeovers, and routine maintenance tasks
- Follow health and safety protocols at all times to ensure a safe working environment
- Requirements
- You must be able to lift and use your arms and shoulders freely.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and basic workshop machinery
- Experience working in a warehouse or manufacturing environment preferred
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to learn new skills and adhere to safety standards at all times
- Fork lift license would be a plus.
