Overview
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Beauty Therapist Apprentice to begin their career within a professional salon environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about beauty and skincare and is looking to further develop their practical skills while working towards a Level 3 Beauty Therapy apprenticeship.
Working alongside experienced beauty professionals, you will gain valuable hands-on experience, build your confidence and provide exceptional client care. This paid apprenticeship offers ongoing support, practical training and the opportunity to develop the knowledge and skills needed for a successful career in the beauty industry.
Responsibilities
- Assist senior beauty therapists in delivering a range of beauty treatments, including massage and facials
- Prepare treatment areas and ensure all equipment and products are hygienic and ready for use
- Provide excellent customer service by welcoming clients, addressing their needs, and ensuring a positive experience
- Support with maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the treatment rooms and workspaces
- Engage with clients to understand their preferences and provide advice on suitable treatments or products
- Develop your skills through training sessions and practical experience under supervision
Requirements
- A genuine enthusiasm for the beauty industry and a willingness to learn and continuously develop new skills.
- A recognised Level 2 Beauty Therapy qualification is essential.
- Basic knowledge of skincare and facial treatments, including an understanding of different skin types and conditions.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to make clients feel welcome, comfortable and valued.
- Confident communication skills to interact professionally with clients, colleagues and the training provider.
- A positive attitude, reliability and a strong commitment to personal and professional development.
- Good organisational skills, with the ability to maintain a clean, safe and well-presented treatment area.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team while also showing initiative when appropriate.
- A professional appearance and high standards of personal hygiene.
- A willingness to receive feedback and continually improve practical skills and industry knowledge.
- Previous salon experience is desirable but not essential, as full training and ongoing support will be provided throughout the apprenticeship.
