Job Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Fish and Chips Kitchen Staff to join our busy team. This role involves preparing and cooking traditional fish and chips in a fast-paced environment, ensuring high standards of food quality and safety. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, excellent organisational skills, and a friendly attitude towards customers. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop culinary skills within a vibrant restaurant setting.

Responsibilities

Assisting with food preparation, including battering, frying, and portioning fish and chips
Cooking food to the highest standards while maintaining efficiency during busy periods
Ensuring all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly followed
Maintaining cleanliness of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and cleaning cooking equipment
Organising ingredients and supplies to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Supporting other team members with meal preparation and serving when required
Adhering to health and safety policies at all times to prevent accidents or contamination

Qualifications

Previous experience in a kitchen environment or restaurant setting is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak hours
Good organisational skills with attention to detail
Friendly, reliable, and able to work well as part of a team
Willingness to learn new skills related to meal preparation and cooking processes

Pay: £14.00-£15.00 per hour
