Trenchers began in Whitby in 1980 and has been serving award winning Fish and Chips since then, building on this success, Trenchers Bowness-on-Windermere will open in July 2026, bringing our award-winning fish and chips to one of the UK’s most popular visitor destinations.
To support this exciting launch, we are seeking a dynamic promoter to generate buzz, build visibility, and position Trenchers as a must-visit dining experience in the Lake District.
This role is central to driving awareness and excitement around the new opening and communicating with our on street customers, busninesses.
The Role
As promoter, you will play a key part in driving visitor footfall and group bookings. You will champion the brand helping to position Trenchers as an essential stop for groups, day-trippers, and holidaymakers alike.
Working closely with the management team, you will actively promote the business to on street customers, tour guides and coach drivers .
Key Responsibilities
- Hand out flyers and promote Trenchers to tourists and locals in Bowness
- Approach coach drivers and coach companies that stop outside or near the restaurant to encourage regular group bookings.
- Give flyers to local hotels, caravan parks, and holiday accommodation providers to increase referrals and awareness.
About You
- Experience in promotion, sales, hospitality or tourism
- A confident networker with strong relationship-building skills.
- Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to identify and develop new opportunities.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Knowledge of the tourism or hospitality sector is essential.
